With the ninth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills have selected Clemson running back C.J. Spiller.
Widely considered one of this year's most dynamic playmakers, Spiller leaves Clemson with 3,457 career rushing yards and 43 career touchdowns. Tremendously talented, Spiller enters a Bills running back corps that already contains Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch.
Buffalo made this selection with QB Jimmy Clausen, OT Bryan Bulaga and NT Dan Williams still on the board, among others. This pick does not fill an immediate need - particularly at the game's most important position - but it does arguably give the Bills the best remaining player in the draft.
Bills head coach Chan Gailey mentioned earlier this off-season his desire to add speed to the running back position. Clearly, he has gotten his wish.
