The Buffalo Bills have announced the signings of six more undrafted free agents. Added to the roster: RB Joique Bell (Wayne State), WR Naaman Roosevelt (Buffalo), OG Jorge Guerra (Texas A&M Kingsville), DE Will Croner (Howard), CB Stephan Virgil (Virginia Tech) and CB John Destin (Tulsa).
Roosevelt is the all-time leading receiver at UB, finishing his Bulls career with 268 receptions, 3,551 yards and 28 touchdowns. Measuring in at 6'0", 189 pounds and running the 40-yard dash in 4.62 seconds, Roosevelt will compete with back-end receiver candidates such as Felton Huggins and rookie Marcus Easley for a roster spot.
The big, physical Bell also enters the league with a great deal of college production, carrying the ball 1,181 times over a four-year career at Wayne State. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry for his career and scored 96 touchdowns in that time frame. He joins a crowded Bills backfield, where he'll compete with the likes of Corey McIntyre, Walter Mendenhall and Rodney Ferguson for a roster spot.
A 5'11", 183-pound corner with 4.7 speed, Virgil recorded 101 tackles, 7 pass breakups and 7 interceptions in four years at Virginia Tech. He and Destin enter direct competition with Cary Harris, Ellis Lankster and Lydell Sargeant at the back end of Buffalo's depth chart.
Croner is a 6'2", 280-pound project out of Howard that will likely get a look as a defensive end in Buffalo's 3-4 defensive scheme. Guerra (6'3", 300) adds to the Bills' virtually non-existent depth at guard and center, competing with players like Christian Gaddis and Kyle Calloway for a roster spot.
