The Buffalo Bills returned to the practice field in preparation for Thursday's preseason finale against Detroit. Four players that missed a significant chunk of training camp returned to the field today, chief among them running backs Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch.
According to Paul Hamilton at WGR 550, Jackson had a small protective brace on his injured left hand, and was somewhat limited in his return. He did, however, take the first rep with the first-team offense. Hamilton also reports that Lynch looked unencumbered while running. Lynch is expected to play against Detroit.
Rookie tackle Ed Wang also returned to practice, albeit with a cast and protective wrap on his injured hand. He missed a month of workouts after early-August thumb surgery. Cary Harris, a second-year free safety, also made it back onto the field.
Jairus Byrd and Kawika Mitchell were absent from Tuesday's practice, while Shawn Nelson, Derek Schouman, Cornell Green, Donovan Woods and Reggie Torbor watched from the sidelines.
