"I went to eat lunch with my family and when I got back about two hours later, Gary (Wichard, his California-based agent) called and said 'How does it feel to get your contract done on your birthday?' It's something I'll always remember no matter what day it was, but it was special to do it on my birthday." (Spiller's birthday was Thursday so his deal was virtually done that day and not yesterday.)

Gailey doesn’t believe in luck – Inside The Bills
"All in all it was a heck of a day for the safeties with Byrd (2 INTs), Scott (1 INT, 1 FR) and Whitner (2 INTs) all recording a pair of takeaways on the day. The secondary is looking downright scary for opposing passing games."

Kelsay back, but not full go – Inside The Bills
"For the first time in a week Chris Kelsay was back in the action at practice in Bills camp, but he’s not quite all the way back. Kelsay said the plan is to give him the green light to be full go on Monday."

"I'll tell you what, he may be one of the guys that's made some of the biggest improvements from the first OTA that he went through to this point in camp," said Gailey. "He's made a lot of progress. He'd never done this, he looked awful when he started and the guy can go on the field and play right now. He's improved tremendously. I've been very impressed with Chris Ellis."
