We've got yet another 2011 NFL Mock Draft update for you this morning, this time coming from Dan Kadar over at SB Nation's Mocking the Draft. In his latest projection - and Dan doesn't do these very often, believe me - he has Alabama defensive lineman Marcell Dareus going to our Buffalo Bills with the third overall selection.
Dareus has been a prospect of growing interest in the Bills fan base over the last several days. MtD recently broke down film from Dareus' dominant performance against Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl; that work shed a little light on Dareus' size, versatility and motor for those who hadn't seen him play before.
Nick Fairley was off the board No. 1 overall to Carolina, and Da'Quan Bowers went second to Denver. That means that Dan predicts, for now, that Buddy Nix will pass on both Patrick Peterson and A.J. Green to pick up a defensive lineman that was good, but also slightly disappointing, during the 2010 season.
Thoughts, Bills fans?
