2011 NFL Mock Draft: Big Week For Senior Bowl Prospects

This week's new 2011 NFL Mock Draft is up at SBNation.com, and in it we discuss the idea that several prospects - Washington quarterback Jake Locker foremost among them - could see their stock soar (or plummet) based on their performances in the 2011 Senior Bowl and the week leading up to it.

Locker has cracked the first round in my mock draft for the first time, going No. 25 overall to Seattle. Von Miller, the Texas A&M pass rusher that has nearly as much to gain as Locker, in my estimation, went No. 9 overall to Dallas, and could ultimately go earlier.

Other Senior Bowl participants in the first round include Stephen Paea, Ryan Kerrigan, Cameron Jordan, Anthony Castonzo, Gabe Carimi, Nate Solder, Derek Sherrod and Allen Bailey. Sherrod and Bailey are on the South squad, to be coached by the Buffalo Bills.

Speaking of the Bills, their No. 3 overall pick in the latest mock draft? That'd be Alabama defensive lineman Marcell Dareus, who is a junior, and therefore has nothing to gain or lose this week.
