The NFL has announced that Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams has been added to the AFC Pro Bowl squad.
Williams replaces Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour on the roster, who will miss the game in Honolulu due to injury.
A fifth-round draft pick in 2006, Williams has come into his own over the past two seasons. Williams was named a Pro Bowl alternate a year ago after finishing the 2009 season with 66 tackles and four sacks; at the time, both totals were career highs. He did not, however, get to participate in the game. He was even more impressive in 2010, registering 76 tackles and 5.5 sacks, earning an exorbitant amount of praise despite playing on one of the NFL's worst defensive units.
Right now, Williams is one of three AFC defensive tackles on the Pro Bowl roster, joining New England's Vince Wilfork and Baltimore's Haloti Ngata. The 2011 NFL Pro Bowl will take place on Sunday, January 30, 2011, one week before Super Bowl XLV is played.
