Jackson to I-R; Bills claim RB Choice - BuffaloBills.com
"Further tests on Fred’s injured leg have shown that he has a broken bone in his leg, so that’s disappointing news for our team and certainly for Fred," said head coach Chan Gailey in a statement. "The process for Fred to return to the field would most likely take him through the end of the season, so we have made the difficult decision to place him on Injured Reserve. This creates an opportunity for C.J. and, as we announced earlier, he will be our starting running back for this week’s game against the Jets."

Inside The Bills | Where Rogers has improved most "
"Definitely the playbook knowing my assignments inside and out," Rogers told Buffalobills.com. "When I first got here I was trying to grasp the whole playbook, but even when I knew what I was doing I was still thinking out there because I wasn’t 100 percent comfortable with it. Now it’s like second nature and I know the call, my assignment and I’m just reacting instead of thinking."

Fred Jackson out, Jets wary of C.J. Spiller - Newsday
"He's definitely our best offensive player," Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said. "He's been our go-to guy all season long. Anytime we needed a play he's made it, and that's going to be a tough loss for us. He's such a good player. He's such a good all-around player, not just running the ball, but out of the backfield and pass protection.
