Welcome to the weekend, Buffalo Bills fans. We've got a couple more days before the Bills take the field, and after a long week, it's time to blow off a little steam. Use this thread to talk about... well, whatever it is you'd like to talk about. Maybe you'd like to share a cool story from your week. I know I do!
My cool story: last Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, I made the trek out to the Carrier Dome in Syracuse to watch the Letchworth high school football team win a Class D state football championship. They beat a Chester Academy team that was previously unbeaten (12-0) and featured a very talented running back named Saxon Smith that finished the season with over 3,000 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns. The 12-1 Indians won the championship by pitching a 27-0 shutout.
Most of you know that I had a family member on that Indians team. Though my cousin doesn't appear in action in this short highlight video from YNN, he did get a nice picture of himself on the front page of our local newspaper.
Letchworth is a tiny little school in the middle of nowhere. Watching this unfold is like something straight out of Friday Night Lights, and it's even more rewarding to be a blood relative of a state champion. Congrats, Jordo. Congrats to everyone on the Letchworth team. This was the most rewarding football experience of my life; let's hope that someday, I can experience something similar with the Bills.
