2011 NFL Combine, Day 1: OL, TE Prospects Weigh In

The 2011 NFL Combine begins today in Indianapolis. Although there won't be any meaningful workouts until Saturday (kickers, punters and long snappers work out tomorrow for the hardest of hardcore), we'll still exit Thursday with a bunch of interesting story lines as offensive linemen and tight ends weigh in.

The Buffalo Bills need reinforcements at both of these positions. Tight end is a wasteland for the team; it's hard to even pencil in a projected starter at this point. Depth is still a major issue along the entire offensive line, but particularly at tackle, where the team needs not only bodies, but a young player that can push veteran Erik Pears for the starting right tackle job.

As numbers - height and weight, of course, but also arm length will be of particular importance - roll in throughout the day, we'll keep you apprised of anything significant. (Insofar as a person's weight and wingspan can be significant, of course.) This is a very important day for several prospects, and we hope to touch on a few prospects that should be of interest to the Bills.
