According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley has set up eight pre-draft visits with teams picking in the Top 10 of the 2011 NFL Draft. One of those teams is the Buffalo Bills.
Fairley's Auburn teammate, quarterback Cameron Newton, will be in Orchard Park on Monday. From what we've been able to cobble together via various reports, Fairley is prospect No. 11 that has met (or will meet) personally with the Bills, joining Newton, Gabe Carimi, Da'Quan Bowers, Cameron Jordan, Ryan Kerrigan, Brooks Reed, Von Miller, Justin Houston, Kelvin Sheppard and Patrick Peterson.
One of this year's highest-impact defenders, Fairley will be at his best as a pro playing the three-technique spot in a 4-3 front. In Buffalo, he would do a little of that (though Kyle Williams gets most of that work now), but he's athletic and stout enough to be moved around the Bills' odd and even fronts, just as Williams is now.
