Pro days in advance of the 2011 NFL Draft have begun in earnest. The Buffalo Bills' scouting department has a busy schedule ahead of them in the coming days and weeks; while they attend to immediate business today in Auburn, they're reportedly already lining up for the Da'Quan Bowers pro day scheduled for April 1.
Per DraftDish.com, the Bills are one of 11 NFL teams that have already been in touch with Clemson regarding accommodations for Bowers' first post-season workout on April Fools' Day. It's likely that all 32 NFL teams will be there to see Bowers do drills.
Bowers, long regarded as one of the best prospects available this year, is a natural 4-3 defensive end that began realizing his immense potential as a junior in 2010, when he led the nation with 15.5 sacks and also registered 25 tackles for loss. The 6'3", 280-pound pass rusher is recovering from off-season knee surgery, which prevented him from working out at the 2011 NFL Combine.
Some - most prominently Todd McShay - have questioned whether Bowers is recovering from his surgery slower than expected. Bowers' agent has disputed that report.
