Mike Mayock Mock Draft: Bills Grab Marcell Dareus

I'm about mock drafted out. Mike Mayock's 2011 NFL Mock Draft is out, however, and as Mike Mayock is sort of awesome, it's worth bringing up here.

In his only mock draft of the year, Mayock has Cam Newton and Von Miller off the board with the top two picks, leaving the Buffalo Bills to grab Alabama defensive lineman Marcell Dareus with the third pick.

"With everyone thinking Miller would go to Buffalo, what are the Bills going to do? They go Dareus, a scheme-diverse guy who can play all three spots in the 3-4 front," Mayock writes. "My favorite player in the draft."

However, earlier this evening on NFL Network, Michael Lombardi mentioned that he's hearing that the Bills may go with LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson over Dareus in the event that Newton and Miller are off the board. Charley Casserly, however, re-affirmed Mayock's opinion, saying that the Bills would take Dareus if he's there.

Moral of the story: 24 hours away from this thing, no one's got a good read on the Bills yet. It's beautiful.
