Stevie Johnson: Marcus Easley "Looking Real Good"

The Buffalo Bills have been working out informally. Wide receiver Stevie Johnson is taking part in the workouts, and has been impressed with fellow wideout Marcus Easley. Easley missed his rookie season after injuring his leg in training camp, but honed his mental game during the year.

"This dude Marcus Easley looks like a beast," said Johnson to WEDG earlier this week . "He’s big and he’s fast and he still has all his speed. Now he’s comfortable with his routes. When he first came in he looked like a kid right out of college. I think after seeing how we ran our routes with Lee and Roscoe and myself with David (Nelson) and Donald (Jones) he picked up on it. He looks like he’s about 270, but he's actually 220 or 225. He’s big and fluid in his routes. I want to see what he’s about in preseason because he’s looking real good."

Easley will have a tough time cracking an already deep wide receiver depth chart headed by Johnson and Lee Evans. Roscoe Parrish is also firmly ahead of him, while David Nelson and Donald Jones have a year of experience on their rookie counterpart from last off-season.

To his credit, Easley isn't worried about playing time, saying: "I'm not focused on the depth chart. I worry about what I bring to the team and what I can do. My job is to catch passes and be as productive as I can be."
