The Buffalo Bills have three prominent names set to hit unrestricted free agency whenever the NFL lockout ends. All three are veteran players with plenty of experience, and none are likely to command top dollar. Yet only one was able to crack Pete Prisco's list of the Top 50 NFL free agents over at CBSSports.com.
Paul Posluszny came in at No. 15 on that list, and was the very first linebacker listed, whether outside or inside. Prisco was careful not to oversell Posluszny, calling him "a good, solid starter, but nothing more," but it's still a fairly lofty ranking for Buffalo's inside linebacker.
It's not terribly surprising that Drayton Florence didn't make the cut, given that he's 30 and the list tended to focus on younger players. I was, however, mildly surprised that Donte Whitner wasn't on the list. 12 total defensive backs made the list, including four safeties; Whitner was beaten out for the Top 50 by the likes of Eric Weddle, Michael Huff (picked just one slot ahead of Whitner in 2006), Quintin Mikell and Dawan Landry.
