Jay Glazer Predicting Paul Posluszny To Jacksonville

Very shortly after Jason La Canfora (NFL.com) reported that the Jacksonville Jaguars were targeting Buffalo Bills free agent linebacker Paul Posluszny in free agency, Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com upped the ante.

Asked by a reader via Twitter about the interest level Posluszny is generating on the open market, Glazer came right out and predicted that Posluszny will sign with the Jaguars.

It's a bold claim, considering that the Bills are expected to make a strong bid to retain Posluszny's services. Several other teams have been linked to Posluszny as well, most notably the New York Giants, where Posluszny would be reunited with a former coach of his in Perry Fewell. He'll have three full days to field offers and generate a nice little bidding war for himself.

Twitter is all abuzz that Glazer is reporting this as done, but if that were the case, we'd probably see the official report. As that's not the case, I'm still considering this a prediction - and again, it's a bold one this early in the abbreviated free agent process. Time will tell if Glazer's right, but considering how well-informed he is, at bare minimum, it's clear that Jacksonville's interest is very serious. More realistically, Glazer's probably hearing that this could go down soon.
