The Buffalo Bills are moving very quickly today. We just reported that they had signed fourth-round pick Da'Norris Searcy and now the team has agreed to terms with third overall pick Marcell Dareus (Alabama) reports Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network.
After second overall pick Von Miller and fourth overall pick A.J. Green agreed to deals with their respective teams, Dareus was slotted in and will make $20.4M in his first four NFL seasons. The entire total is guaranteed.
Dareus will immediately report to training camp in Rochester where he will likely earn the starting job on Buffalo's defensive line alongside Kyle Williams and Dwan Edwards.
Second-round pick Aaron Williams and third-round pick Kelvin Sheppard are likely Buffalo's only remaining unsigned rookies. RB Johnny White tweeted that today was the "happiest day of his life" this morning, seemingly indicating he's signed his contract as well but that is still unconfirmed.
For reference, last year's first-round pick C.J. Spiller signed his contract on August 6th after missing more than a week of training camp. Aaron Maybin missed all of training camp after holding out until August 21st in 2009.
