Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550 in Buffalo is reporting that the Buffalo Bills and free agent linebacker Kevin Burnett have mutual interest but no signing is imminent.
Buscaglia notes that the Bills were focused on signing their rookies today. The team signed three today with two more still to go. Once the Bills get all the rookies in the fold, they will turn their attention towards Burnett says Buscaglia's source. The source mentions "a day or two" as the time frame for when we could possibly know more about the veteran.
Burnett is a former second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys but spent the last two seasons in San Diego. He will be only 28 years old when the season begins and started the last 23 games at ILB for the Chargers. He had six sacks and 80 tackles a season ago.
