Bills Agree To Terms With Rookie LB Kelvin Sheppard

The last of the Buffalo Bills' unsigned draft picks, third-round linebacker Kelvin Sheppard, has agreed to the terms of a new contract with his team. Sheppard took to Twitter just moments ago to share the good news.

Wrote Sheppard on his Twitter profile: "Finally just got the call I been patiently waiting for!! All I can say is God works in sooooo many different ways!!!! Can't wait to drive over and make it official then hitting the interstate and off to go join the rest of my #bills fam and get to work!!!!"

Assuming Sheppard signs his contract this afternoon and makes it out to St. John Fisher for Bills training camp by this evening, he'll have only missed some team meetings, one walk-through and the opening practice of camp - which did not take place in pads. That's a small sacrifice for the rookie to make, and it shouldn't deter him from potentially landing a starting job for the Bills at their woefully thin inside linebacker position.

Terms of the deal, of course, have not yet been disclosed. It'll be interesting to see if Sheppard's arrival at Fisher will allow the team to move Arthur Moats back to outside linebacker; we're not betting on it.
