St. John Fisher Preparing To Host Bills Training Camp

Though owners and players would like to agree to a new CBA by close of business this week, there is still a strong possibility that the ongoing NFL lockout will delay the start of league training camps if it continues much further past this weekend. Despite the months-long labor mess, the folks at St. John Fisher College - home of Buffalo Bills training camp since 2000 - are preparing for camp as they normally would.

Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News spoke with Todd Harrison, the co-director of training camp for Fisher, who confirmed that preparations are carrying on (almost) as usual - and that they're prepared to launch camp in an expedited fashion. Harrison says there's no college-issued deadline on when training camp would be off the table in Rochester.

"The deadline would be something that (the Bills) impose," Harrison told Gaughan. "From our conversations with them, I don't have a sense that there's a specific date they've decided on that after that they're not coming. They're staying in contact with their vendors like we are."

Keep your fingers crossed that owners and players - who re-join negotiations today - can make good on their plans to wrap up a new deal this weekend.
