Speaking after Saturday night's pre-season loss to the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey provided a welcome update on four injured players: none of them are seriously injured.
That's particularly good news for rookie running back Johnny White, who was slammed into the turf on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter. White lay motionless on the field at Sports Authority Field at Mile High for several moments before getting carted off the field and transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. It was all precautionary, however, and Gailey told reporters that White will be traveling home with the team.
Starting wideout Donald Jones also appears to be OK after taking a vicious sideline hit from rookie safety Rahim Moore. Jones also lay motionless on the field for a time, but was able to stand up and seat himself on the bench. He was evaluated in the locker room.
Arthur Moats was also carted off the sideline with a leg injury, and he presumably falls under the "no serious injuries" umbrella as well. Naaman Roosevelt suffered an apparent ankle injury late in the game, but was able to make it to the sideline under his own power.
