The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs will kick off Week 1 NFL action in two hours. It's time to sit down with Joel Thorman of ArrowheadPride.com to make our final predictions. As you might guess, between the two of us, our picks are split.
"You know I have to pick the Chiefs, right? Season opener at Arrowhead coming off the division title and favored to win, I have to pick the Chiefs," Thorman wrote to me this morning. "I think both offenses will be ugly throughout the game and we won't see many points scored, so a 17-10 game sounds about right to me. The Chiefs will get a big turnover that changes the momentum in the game leading to the victory."
Needless to say, my prediction - while similarly themed - favors the away team. Here's a snippet of what I sent Joel earlier this week:
I'm not buying into the Chiefs reeling too hard after their awful pre-season, but I am buying into the Bills being noticeably better defensively, and good enough to win offensively. The last two meetings between these two teams at Arrowhead Stadium have been tough, low-scoring affairs, and I expect more of the same Sunday. Bills 20, Chiefs 17
Now it's time for your predictions, Bills fans. Have at it.
