It's that time again, Buffalo Bills fans. Your favorite team is about to take the field for their 2011 season opener against a tough Kansas City Chiefs team in perhaps the loudest stadium in the NFL. Buckle up.

First, an acknowledgment: today is an incredibly special day for our nation, this being the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Keeping that day in mind, I'll simply say this: it's going to be a pleasure sharing a corner of the Internet with you all today as we cheer on the Bills. Sometimes we take for granted just how good we have it on days like today, no matter the result of the game.

That said, it's time to amp up the adrenaline. Embrace the goosebumps. Note how alive you feel when your heart is pounding, and how unbridled excitement can so effectively clear your mind. Keep the palms dry if you're handling sharp kitchen utensils. We've only got one rule for you today: no matter where or with whom you're watching, you had better not be able to speak tomorrow morning.

GO BILLS!
