NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Buffalo Bills Continue To Climb

After a second straight high-scoring, entertaining and surprising win, the Buffalo Bills boast the league's most explosive offense (currently) and are sitting at 2-0 on the season. Left for dead by the vast majority of media outlets prior to the season, the Bills are obviously soaring in weekly power rankings, which we'll remind everyone serve no tangible purpose other than to gauge the current mood of the NFL.

The highest we've seen the Bills ranked in power ratings today is No. 11 overall, where they're slotted by ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio, as well as SI's Peter King and SB Nation. The NFL.com power poll isn't far off from that, slotting them at No. 13 overall. Brian Billick of FOXSports.com has them at No. 16.

Last week, ESPN.com kept the Bills way down at No. 27 despite their resounding Week 1 win, climbing just three spots in the process. This week, they're up 11 spots all the way to No. 16. They are the lowest-rated 2-0 team in the league, one slot behind the Washington Redskins.

Finally, it's worth noting what the folks in Boston currently think of the Bills as their New England Patriots head into a Week 3 showdown in Orchard Park. The folks at WEEI.com currently have the Bills at No. 16 (the Pats are No. 2), and speak very kindly about what the Bills have accomplished thus far.
