The 2-0 Buffalo Bills are set to take on the 2-0 New England Patriots in two hours' time. It's time, then, to sit down one last time with Greg Knopping of PatsPulpit.com and make our final game day predictions. You might call these predictions predictable.
"This is the type of the game that could wind up being be a trap game for the Patriots, and could really vault the Bills into the national spotlight," says Knopping. "However, I still have the Patriots winning. This will still be a tough match-up, but I think that if the Patriots can control the Bills at the line of scrimmage and establish a better balance offensively than they showed the first two weeks of the season, they should be able to come out ahead in what should be a relatively close game. Patriots 34, Bills 24."
Sadly, while I believe the Bills are certainly capable of winning this game, it's a big step to get from there to "they will win the game." Here's what I sent Greg:
Much like last year's Week 3 contest, which the Patriots won 38-30 in New England, I'm expecting a Pats win in something of a shootout. This Bills team is better than that one, but they've lost the element of surprise, and they're still not as good as New England. Patriots 38, Bills 27
Now it's time for your predictions, Bills fans. Have at it.
