The Buffalo Bills returned to the practice field today to begin preparations for their Week 4 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals sans five players.
Wide receiver Stevie Johnson, as he did prior to last week's game against New England, sat out practice to rest the lingering groin issue that has bothered him since the pre-season. He will likely practice Thursday and Friday, just like last week, and barring something unforeseen will play in Week 4.
Joining Johnson on the sidelines today were guard Kraig Urbik (knee), linebacker Chris White (hamstring), and cornerbacks Terrence McGee (hamstring) and Aaron Williams (collarbone). The only disappointment there is Urbik; the starting right guard was given a chance at playing this weekend by head coach Chan Gailey, but his work week is off to a rough start. Should he miss the game, Chad Rinehart will again get the start.
On the plus side, inside linebacker Kirk Morrison (hamstring) returned to the practice field today, and nose tackle Torell Troup (back) was a full go, as well. On Cincinnati's side, safety Chris Crocker (rest) and linebacker Dontay Moch (foot) sat out, while guard Otis Hudson (knee), defensive linemen Jonathan Fanene (knee) and Robert Geathers (shoulder), and safety Jeromy Miles (groin) were limited.
