Buffalo Bills Roster Shows Extent Of Regime Change

The Buffalo Bills shaped their 53-man roster yesterday, and we wanted to update you on a story we've been discussing over the last couple of days: Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey weeding out members of the Dick Jauron-era Bills.

A year ago, after Gailey created his first full team in Buffalo, we talked about the 15 new players the team had already brought into the organization. (Only ten of those players are still with the team, by the way.)

Then, last week, we re-assessed that angle, but from an 80-player perspective, determining that of those 80 players, 55 were new-regime acquisitions - and a further six were Jauron-era players that the new regime had signed to contract extensions. That left just 19 players from Jauron's last Bills team on the roster.

Now that yesterday's roster cuts have sunk in, it's time to update those numbers: of the 53 players currently on Buffalo's roster, 40 are players that Nix and Gailey have either acquired themselves, or inherited players that they've made serious commitments to. See the full breakdown after the jump.
