The Buffalo Bills are off on their bye week and despite some slim pickings in the links department, there are some pretty good ones.

Inside The Bills | CB Brooks faring well
"He’s come along," said Gailey. "He’s had no setbacks whatsoever so that’s a positive too. How much he knows and how much he’ll catch up that’ll be a determining factor, but physically he’s fine."

Inside The Bills | Fred: Players need to reflect on their game
"We’ve got to rely on each other, and we need to be where we need to be, to get things to go the way that we need them to," said Jackson. "A lot of guys are gonna need to do some self- reflection during this bye week, and whatever it is you need to do to take your game to the next level, that’s what we gotta do when we come back off this bye week."

Bills QB Jackson awaiting his snap shot - The Buffalo News
"[I’m] trying to get caught up with stuff, but it’s kind of just game planning right now. I missed a lot of the teaching. So it’s kind of difficult for me to actually feel comfortable with everything," Jackson said. "I know the plays, but it’s a difference between knowing the plays and actually going out there and getting a chance to practice them. We’re trying to get ready for games, so that’s difficult as far as getting a third guy reps. That’s not going to happen. You just try to do the best you can do with the scout team reps and just learn as much as possible like that."

Teammates defer to Kelsay on effort | Press Coverage

WGR 550 SportsRadio - HAMILTON: Where's Your Football Team At?
"It’s obvious the Bills and Buddy Nix didn’t get too far into Mario Williams attitude before signing him. He has his own refrigerator in his locker, his own personal PR person and doesn’t go full speed every play. Who knows what other things he’s allowed to do that other players aren’t. That all combined spells not very popular with his teammates. It’ll be interesting to see if having a wrist procedure helps him out."

WGR 550 SportsRadio - CAPACCIO: Fitz And The Deep Ball: What The Numbers Say
"Fitzpatrick ranks 31st in the average length of all his passes this season, and 32nd (out of 33 for both) in the average length of his completions. And that's exactly where he fell in both categories last season, also out of 33 QBs."

It's noteworthy that neither Mario Williams nor Ryan Fitzpatrick are on the list.

DT Kyle Williams: Bills defense is playing hard, but not fast -
"The [teams] that aren't giving up the big plays are the ones that are shutting things out. They're playing fast, when guys miss gaps people are making up for them. And I think that's really been our problem where we've been. I think guys are really, really worried about tuning in to their job -- ‘I'm in my gap and I just want to stay here to make sure I've got my job done' -- rather than playing fast and getting off the blocks and going to hit guys, get guys on the ground."

"But for now, neither the team nor the city seems to have any interest in a new home. There are considerably more pressing issues than that."
