Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams is feeling better after bye week wrist surgery, but he's not on the practice field this afternoon as the team prepares for Sunday's Week 9 matchup with Williams' former team, the Houston Texans.
Keep in mind, however, that today's practice is not part of the team's "normal" work week, when Monday is reserved for post-game film review, meetings and bodily recuperation, and full team practices don't begin until Wednesday. Williams, who told reporters that he expects to practice this week and play on Sunday, will very likely be involved to some extent when the team re-convenes on Wednesday.
Williams' running mate at end, Mark Anderson, is not on the practice field today, either. He's joined on the sidelines by veteran cornerback Terrence McGee, who has been playing through a knee that's less than 100 percent all season. Chad Rinehart, who was ruled out indefinitely with an ankle injury during the bye week, is also sitting.
