Pears, McGee doubtful for Sunday -
"Erik Pears did not practice and he’s doubtful for the game," said head coach Chan Gailey. "We’re going to see if he can move around at all around game time and make a decision."

Brooks added to roster; Rinehart to I-R -
"I think he’s more than ready," said head coach Chan Gailey. "I think he’s chomping at the bit to get on the field. He’ll be rusty and be out of place a couple of times, but I think his effort and ability will overcome a little bit of that rust and I think he’ll add something to our team."

Nix mapping out Bills future -
"We want to bring in a guy that can be a franchise quarterback, I mean for the next 10 years," Nix told "Starting maybe two years from now or whenever he’s ready. I’d like to have a guy in place. I’ve got to look past this Sunday and past the rest of this year and decisions have to be long term."

Inside The Bills | Kelso on Texans running attack
"Brutal efficiency personified—running the ball down people’s throats over and over again, without any answer," Kelso said to describe Houston’s run game. He says he came across that description when someone was linking the Texans running attack to the one run by the old Denver Broncos, when Houston’s Head Coach Gary Kubiak played and coached in the Mile High City."

Inside The Bills | Glenn, Kyle listed as questionable
"The designation is likely due to the fact that both players were limited in practice throughout the week. Not once did either of them participate fully in practice. But both are considered to have a far greater likelihood of playing than questionable. Both players moved very well in the practice setting and showed no ill effects from their ankle injuries."

Inside The Bills | Nix on quarterbacks - John Murphy Show
"A bad thing is not drafting one, but a worse thing is drafting the wrong one," he said, "because then you double the time it takes. It takes you about three years to find out the guy can’t play, you get that staff fired, and then you try to get one that can play, and then it takes you another three. So it takes you six, seven years, it sets you back."

Inside The Bills | Nix: Gailey here for long haul
"I know you fans have been through 12 years (of no playoffs) or whatever it is and you’re frustrated about it. The big thing is you don’t want to start over. If you start over you’re going to get 12 more (years) and that’s not where we’re headed."

WGR 550 SportsRadio - Bills' Pears, McGee Doubtful Vs Texans
"Normally in for relief of left cornerback Aaron Williams at times, if McGee can't play there is a chance that former first-round pick Leodis McKelvin could see some time at that position. Gailey said after Friday's practice that they've been working McKelvin at that position throughout the week, but will play it by ear on whether or not they actually use him to spell Williams."

WGR 550 SportsRadio - Bills Activate Ron Brooks; Rinehart To I-R

WGR 550 SportsRadio - NIx Won't Leave Without Franchise QB In Place
"Listen, we have said from day one, that we want to draft a good young quarterback" Nix said. "I don't want to leave here without a franchise guy for the future in place. I have not said that before but I'm saying it now because its fact."

Buffalo Bills must find way to contain Texans' J.J. Watt | Democrat and Chronicle
"I’m always ... going for the sack," Watt said, "but then as you go through your pass rush and see he’s going to throw it earlier or if you’re not going to get there, you put your hands up and hope to bat the ball down."

Nix declares Gailey's job is safe - The Buffalo News
"Yeah, and I hope I can put that to rest," Nix said Friday when asked if Gailey is safe for next season. "The age-old thing - and they've done it around here for years - is to start over about every three years. What that does is make damn sure you don't make it. ...
