Bills vs. Jets: New York Takes Early 3-0 Lead

If you've happened to catch any of the last five football games between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills, the opening drive of today's regular season finale was a familiar sight: the Jets ran the ball down the Bills' throats en route to early points.

On a 12-play, 47-yard scoring drive, the Jets ran the ball for all 47 of those yards. Shonn Greene carried five times for 26 yards, and Bilal Powell added 14 yards on three carries. The drive ate up a healthy six minutes of game clock, and only stalled when Mark Sanchez missed a wide open Braylon Edwards on a pass that, had it been on target, would have easily converted a third down.

Buffalo comes into Week 17 with the NFL's worst run defense, surrendering 146.7 yards per game. The Jets are custom-built to exploit that weakness, and did exactly that in taking the early 3-0 lead after Nick Folk kicked a 47-yard field goal.
