Bills Take 12-7 Lead Into Fourth Quarter

Matt Warren is Associate Director of NFL coverage for SB Nation and previously covered the Bills for Buffalo Rumblings for more than a decade.

The Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Rams provided few fireworks in the first half but the second half has been much more lively. The teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter and start the fourth with Buffalo leading 12 to 7.

The Bills botched their extra point after a great drive lead to a two yard Lee Smith touchdown catch. C.J. Spiller got going on the ground and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick continues to methodically pick apart the Rams secondary (seriously).

On defense, the Rams had 71 yards of offense in the first half and nearly equaled that total on their first drive of the half, moving 70 yards for their touchdown plunge from Stephen Jackson.

St. Louis is set to punt as the fourth quarter begins. The rain has begun falling at Ralph Wilson Stadium and with conditions getting sloppy, it might be time to unleash the Bills running game. We'll see you here after the game.
