Robert Meachem Agrees To Four-Year Deal With San Diego Chargers

One of two free agents that the Buffalo Bills wined and dined on Tuesday has agreed to a four-year contract with another team. Robert Meachem, a wide receiver previously with the New Orleans Saints, has agreed to a four-year, $25.9 million deal with the San Diego Chargers, per ESPN's Bill Williamson.

It is conceivable that the Chargers, having lost Vincent Jackson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier in the day, made an offer to Meachem that he couldn't refuse - even as he sat at a table alongside Mario Williams in Western New York on the opening day of free agency.

Bills GM Buddy Nix told BuffaloBills.com Tuesday morning that the team had two targets in free agency, and with Williams and Meachem in town this past evening, it's clear who those two targets were. While the team still has a shot at Williams, Meachem is now off of the table - and the Bills are still looking for a No. 2 wideout to slot in between Stevie Johnson and David Nelson.
