Mario Manningham Making Free Agent Stop In St. Louis

Even though yesterday's signing of Mario Williams likely means that the Buffalo Bills are done free agent shopping for a while, we'll do our due diligence on the other free agent target the team has been linked to that's still available: wide receiver Mario Manningham.

After visiting with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, Manningham departed for a visit with the St. Louis Rams on Thursday night. That meeting will last into Friday, according to Pro Football Talk.

The Bills, at one point, were in the market for a No. 2 wide receiver this off-season. That hasn't changed, but after losing out on Robert Meachem - and after giving wads of cash to Super Mario - GM Buddy Nix changed his tune a bit on Thursday, talking up the team's current corps of wide receivers and mentioning the depth of the rookie class at the position.

It all sounds to us like the Bills are out of the bidding on Manningham. Without official confirmation, however, we'll keep following his story until its conclusion. You may be better served by reviewing the 2012 NFL Draft receiver class.
