2012 NFL Draft: Mike Mayock High On Stephon Gilmore

As Buffalo Bills fans desperately search for a "sure bet" to advocate for with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, some praise from Mike Mayock of NFL Network has thrown another name into the fray: South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

"Trust me, six-foot corners with long arms are rare, especially when they run 4.4 with his movement skills," Mayock said at Gilmore's pro day. "I’ve got him as the No. 2 corner for a reason. I think he’s a Top 10 to Top 15 pick. Not a lot of people have him that high, but I saw it again today."

Talks of the Bills taking a cornerback have died down a bit after the team re-structured the contract of oft-injured veteran Terrence McGee, but the team still has more questions than answers at the position, even if they also have solid depth. Dre Kirkpatrick of Alabama is the go-to name at cornerback for Bills fans, but as Mayock has plenty of sway with fans, expect Gilmore to more frequently enter discussions over the next month.

How would you react to the Bills taking Gilmore with the No. 10 pick, Bills fans?
