Demetrius Bell Drawing Interest From Pittsburgh Steelers, Too

Add the Pittsburgh Steelers to the growing list of teams showing interest in Buffalo Bills free agent offensive tackle Demetrius Bell. According to Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Bell is making a stop in Pittsburgh today on his free agent tour.

In addition to Buffalo and Pittsburgh, Bell has received interest from the Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins and Green Bay Packers this off-season, per various reports.

Pittsburgh's interest likely stems from the presence of offensive line coach Sean Kugler, who was with the Bills in 2008 when the Bills made Bell a seventh-round draft pick out of Northwestern State, and when he shockingly vaulted up to the top of the left tackle depth chart at the beginning of the 2009 season. Kugler already coaches another former Bill in Jonathan Scott, and Jamon Meredith spent some time with the team last season, as well.

Some Bills fans have expressed an opinion that Bell could re-sign with Buffalo prior to the 2012 NFL Draft. As he continues his free agent tour, however, that is looking increasingly unlikely, though it's certainly not an impossibility. What is certain: if that were to happen, the Bills would have a lot more draft-day flexibility.
