"Glenn's fall into Buffalo's lap was wrapped in surprise. He was an Associated Press third-team All-American, an all-SEC offensive lineman, and the conference's Offensive Lineman of the Week after the Bulldogs victory over Florida. He started 50 of 53 games, tying Clint Boling's record for career starts by a guard/tackle."
Buffalo Bills draft OL Cordy Glenn, receiver T.J. Graham | Democrat and Chronicle
"I’ll sleep better tonight than I did last night," said Nix, meaning he was happy he was able to address three key needs in the first three rounds when you include No. 1 pick Stephen Gilmore, the cornerback from South Carolina. "We all feel better. You have to wait to see how they pan out, but these guys have a real chance to help us."
WGR 550 - HAMILTON: Glenn Wants To Be Here
At first Glenn liked his new lineman’s foot work, but there is one thing he’d like to see better, "I think he's got good feet. I don't know that he's got great feet but I think he's got good feet. You don't have to have great feet if you've got great length and great size. It's hard to get around big people. I think he's just a huge, athletic player. There are probably people that are bigger than he is and there are probably people that are more athletic than he is, but I think he gives you a good combination of size and athletic ability."
WGR 550 - HAMILTON: Graham Will Stretch The Field
"I'm very excited. It's something I worked for my whole life. I'm just going to enjoy the opportunity I have now with the Buffalo Bills. I spoke with some people and they suggested that this was the earliest I would go. You expect the worst in this situation, so getting the best that they told me is a pretty good thing. I am pretty excited about it. I had a couple of meetings with them and talked with them a couple of times. It was a destination that I saw myself going to. I am really going to enjoy it."
Third-round notes in AFC East - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"The Bills finally drafted a wide receiver by taking T.J. Graham of North Carolina State. Buffalo passed up better prospects in the second round, but you can't fault the Bills for finding a potential starting offensive tackle (Cordy Glenn). Graham was the 20th-ranked prospect at receiver by Scouts Inc. His not a big receiver (5-foot-11) but does possess top-end speed. Buffalo needs a speedster opposite top target Steve Johnson."
Bills, Dolphins grab offensive tackles - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"Both teams had major needs at the position. Buffalo is looking for a left tackle to protect quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's blindside, while Miami is looking to fill the right side of its offensive line. Glenn will have a chance to compete for a starting job with left tackle in Buffalo."

"I always dreamed about it," Gilmore said. "I told my mom when I was 7 years old I was getting drafted somewhere. ... I told my mom that I was going to be a special player and I promised her that. She said she believed in me and told me I could do anything as long as I work hard and the sky is the limit."
Nix wants film, not stats when drafting for Buffalo Bills | Democrat and Chronicle
"So while Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, Mike Mayock and all the rest of the professional draftniks nitpick their way through bench press reps, three-cone drill times (my favorite eyeball roller), broad jump distances and 40-yard dash times to drive traffic to their network or website, Nix spends his days watching game tape. After all, the tape doesn’t lie, and that’s why Nix picked South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore in the first round of the draft Thursday night."
WGR 550 - Who Is Stephon Gilmore?
"Bills 1st round pick Stephon Gilmore stopped in to WGR Sportsradio 550 Friday morning to talk with Howard and Jeremy. You can listen to the interview here, or read NFL.com's extensive profile."
Bills go with Gilmore - Olean Times Herald: Sports
"We’re just trying to upgrade our defense where we think it needs upgrading the most. Both of us sat down and identified pass rush was our No. 1 need ... the one thing we had to address whether in free agency or the draft. We were fortunate to be able to address it in free agency so it really freed us up in the draft to be able to look at a bunch of different positions and pick the best football player that fit our team quickly."
Sneaky Bills make solid pick with Gilmore - Wellsville Daily Reporter
"The Bills’ biggest need going into the off-season was pass rush. They addressed that in free agency with Mario Williams and Mark Anderson — and smartly so since there aren’t many great sack masters in the draft. That took some of the luster off the excitement for the Bills’ top-10 pick and they had to go in a different direction. So the Bills may have made a boring pick, but it very well could be the correct one."
With 10th pick, Bills select Stephon Gilmore | ProFootballTalk
"Their corners were lit up fairly regularly last season and the team needs to shore up that area after taking care of their pass rush earlier in the offseason. Gilmore started 40 games at South Carolina, regularly guarded the best receivers in the SEC and should have enough skill to start contributing on defense right away for Buffalo. He rose up the board after strong offseason work showed that his film didn’t lie."
ProFootballWeekly.com - Gilmore adds intrigue to Bills' CB group
"Gilmore could easily challenge to start next season. The Bills really like Williams, but clearly, the three veterans (McGee, Florence and McKelvin) all had moments of falling out of favor for a variety of reasons. GM Buddy Nix has discussed corner as a position you address every year and wanted more depth at corner, and that means a lot in the 2012 version of the NFL, especially playing the Patriots’ offense twice a year."
Day 3
Inside The Bills | Bills can go best on board now
"Buffalo can truly go for the best player on the board the rest of the way if they choose. They’ve got six picks remaining with two in the fourth and two in the fifth."
