We've spent part of our Thursday afternoon talking about where Buffalo Bills coach Chan Gailey ranks in terms of NFL head coaches on the hot seat entering the 2012 season. There's a basic, quantifiable question that we should have asked first: what is Gailey's perceived level of job security within the Bills' fan base? (Or our site's readership, at least.)

There's enough evidence - such as June's 87 percent approval rating that Gailey drew - to suggest that there's a large chunk of the fan base that perceives Gailey as very safe. Then again, when we asked you in December - near the very end of the Bills' seven-game losing streak - if Gailey belonged on the hot seat, a sizable chunk of voters responded in the affirmative (though theirs was still the minority opinion).

Our question for you is below. Give it a little thought, cast your vote, and discuss with your fellow fans in the comments section.
