Buffalo Bills Training Camp: Four Rookies Getting First-Team Reps

Presswire

As Buffalo Bills training camp got underway at St. John Fisher College on Thursday, three rookies saw first-unit reps - and that group doesn't even include a projected starter.

Cordy Glenn, the second-round pick out of Georgia that is expected to win the left tackle job, took second-team reps on Thursday as Chris Hairston ran with the ones. That will likely flip on Friday, as head coach Chan Gailey has indicated that both Glenn and Hairston will run with the first unit as they compete for a starting job.

First-round pick Stephon Gilmore was in the starting lineup, of course, and got a healthy dose of Stevie Johnson in his first training camp practice. T.J. Graham, the third-round wide receiver, saw limited reps with the first unit in specific packages. Fourth-round linebacker Nigel Bradham was in a similar package-specific role with the ones, as well, according to BuffaloBills.com.

Only Gilmore and Glenn are expected to start as rookies, but it seems clear at this point that the team is trying to find roles for Graham and Bradham in 2012, as well.
