"When Roethlisberger was totally rattled, it brought a smile to my face," Calderone said on the radio show. "I remember how loud the stadium was at that time, we were totally getting under his skin. The atmosphere is always good, but I did like the fact that the twelfth man was alive. It was rocking in our section, you could just tell, we got under his skin."

Inside The Bills | Bills already working on Jets
"Yeah, we have been watching them in the film room," said Fitzpatrick. "We did in the offseason as well, but kind of throughout preseason here keeping an eye on them and what they are doing with personnel and those types of things. We have played against them, their scheme and the same guys for a while now. It will be a great match-up; especially defensively they are really tough. It is a good one for us to open with and see where we are at."

Inside The Bills | Wood expecting to be full go Wk 1
"I think I’ll do everything next week in all the team reps leading up to the game and all the reps in the game," said Wood in reference to the season opener against the Jets at MetLife Stadium. "We’ve stayed cautious for that reason so in Week 1 I could do that kind of stuff."

Easley trying to secure spot on Bills' roster - The Buffalo News
"He does everything you want him to do," Bills receivers coach Bob Bicknell said. "He's a hard worker, a great kid. He knows what he's supposed to do. He just needs the opportunity to play, he really does. He needs to get those chances to play the game. That's kind of been his situation; it's an uphill battle coming back from the time he's missed."

"You always are," Gailey said. "Until a guy can go out there and play consistently and have no setbacks, you get worried. I've got a lot more confidence where Eric Wood is than I do with Terrence McGee, because Eric's had no setbacks [from offseason ACL surgery]."

"We are thinking in that 10-play area," he said, referring to how much time his starters can be expected to get. "If you are going to put them out there for four plays, why even put them out there? You want to be able to go out there and play enough to get a feel for the game. Hit a little bit because it will be a little while before they do it again."

WGR 550 - Bills' Have One More Freebie
Jackson took plenty of reps Tuesday in practice and will play after Ryan Fitzptraick and Tyler Thigpen on Thursday. Gailey is comfortable with what his new QB knows, "We’re going to get him in. We got him full reps in practice and we’ll get him into the game unless something funky happens with the clock and they keep the ball the last 10 minutes of the game or something crazy like that, but our plan is to get him into the game and let him play. Tyler needs to play and he needs to show what he’s got. This is his shot, then we’ll play Tarvaris at the end."

Scouts Inc. on Bills QB Tarvaris Jackson - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"Jackson had a much better year than many realized. He played with a torn pectoral to finish the season and it showed. But he’s very tough with a big arm and great speed. But Jackson has poor accuracy and tough. He’s a real good backup for [Bills coach] Chan Gailey and an upgrade over Vince Young."

Roethlisberger’s rant at Ralph Wilson Stadium turf missed the mark | ProFootballTalk
"Roethlisberger is one of many NFL players who have expressed concerns about the safety of NFL playing surfaces, and that’s an issue that the league and the union should continue studying. But if Roethlisberger has a problem with the surface at Ralph Wilson Stadium, his problem is with A-Turf Titan, not with FieldTurf."

Bills GM Buddy Nix is through talking about Vince Young | ProFootballTalk
"Young has fallen far, and fast. It’s not like the Bills traded for a guy with a long history of winning football (Jackson has a 17-17 career record as a starter), so for Young to have been deemed so deficient that Jackson’s a no-brainer upgrade should tell you what you need to know about his prospects for future employment."

Bills’ latest move throws up red flags - Wellsville Daily Reporter
"It seems an awful lot like the Bills got rid of one player just to trade for someone with a similar skill set, only with less NFL success. Say what you will about Young’s deficiencies as a player, he has won a lot of games in the league (31-19 as a starter with two playoff appearances)."

Bills need to hope that Jackson is the answer - Olean Times Herald
"Gailey is adamant that Fitzpatrick is his guy and isn’t worried, despite the preseason struggles, and the QB maintains his confidence is high. Only a cynic would suggest they’re both in denial. The certainty is, given what happened last season against Washington, the Bills had best hope that Jackson — 17-17 as a starter — is the answer as No. 2 quarterback or those playoff hopes could be poof."
