Greg Cosell of NFL Films is awesome. One of the most talented writers in the business, Cosell excels at translating what his keen eye sees on coaches' film and translating it to plain text for casual football observers to digest. The latest targets of his excellent analysis: Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (and Mark Sanchez, too).

The man who compared Stephon Gilmore to Charles Woodson prior to the 2012 NFL Draft gets Fitzpatrick down pat, in our opinion, noting the perfectly designed offense that Chan Gailey built to fit Fitzpatrick's best attributes, and noting that mechanical issues - notably footwork and balance - have contributed to lulls and inconsistency in his play.

A large quantity of Bills fans have heard and noted all of that before, of course, but for the uninitiated - or those who simply want a deeper understanding of Fitzpatrick than they currently have - this is a must-read. And for those who already have Fitzpatrick down, it's worth a read anyway, as Cosell gets pretty in-depth about why he ends his article with the following sentence:

"Much will happen before we kick off the season in September, but if I were a betting man, I would wager that Fitzpatrick will be the better quarterback in 2012."
