Coors Light is sponsoring a weekly post from us this year focusing on "reasons to celebrate" following each Buffalo Bills game. This may seem like a bad fit for a blog about the Bills, but I disagree; fan bases like Buffalo's are more likely than others to kick back with a brew and focus on the positives. Patriots fans? They're just fretting about where the season may fall apart and whatnot. Lame.
This week, there's only one legitimate reason to celebrate for Bills fans, and that's C.J. Spiller. The third-year running back out of Clemson is finally beginning to justify his Top 10 selection in 2010 and put up career numbers in Week 1, gaining 169 rushing yards on just 14 carries and scoring on a 56-yard jaunt in the second quarter. With feature-back carries coming his way for at least the next month or so, Spiller has an opportunity to emerge as one of the most explosive backs in the NFL. Cheers, Mr. Spiller.
