Fred Jackson Will Play Against The Patriots

In a move that 's altogether surprising and unsurprising, Fred Jackson will suit up against the New England Patriots today. The Buffalo Bills running back injured his knee in the first game of the season and hasn't been in action since but practiced all week.

What is surprising is Jackson's quick return. He sprained his LCL on a play that looked much worse than it turned out to be. Jackson will wear a brace on the knee and expects it to be sore. ESPN's Adam Schefter said on the network this morning that Jackson will carry the majority of the load at running back.

The news on C.J. Spiller is still lukewarm. He is a game time decision with a shoulder injury. While he has full range of motion he is still in but practiced on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday.

Bills inactives will be announced around 11:30. We'll keep you posted.
