At or near the start of every month, we're going to poll the readers of Buffalo Rumblings on their state of mind regarding the chief decision-makers of the Buffalo Bills. This is your poll to state your pleasure, or lack thereof, with GM Buddy Nix. Here are some stories Nix has been heavily involved with over the last month.
- Six Nix draft picks were released in final cuts: running back Johnny White, wide receiver Marcus Easley, guards Mark Asper and Michael Jasper, and linebackers Tank Carder and Danny Batten. Easley has since been re-signed to the practice squad, while Asper and Carder have landed jobs in Minnesota and Cleveland, respectively.
- Three more high-profile Nix acquisitions were axed: quarterback Vince Young, defensive end Shawne Merriman and defensive tackle Dwan Edwards. Edwards has since been scooped up by Carolina.
- Traded a conditional 2013 seventh-round pick to Seattle for quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, who took a $2.25 million pay cut before the trade was agreed to. In addition, Tyler Thigpen took a $1 million pay cut to remain with the team. The two backups will combine to make $3.25 million in base salary in 2012.
