The Buffalo Bills have officially named their six team captains for the 2012 season, as voted on by the players.
On offense, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and running back Fred Jackson are the captains. That's the same duo that the team voted for at the outset of the 2011 season, as well.
Defensively, Buffalo's captains are defensive tackle Kyle Williams and strong safety George Wilson. Williams is another returning captain, as is Wilson - though a year ago, he was a special teams captain. Wilson replaces long-departed linebacker Andra Davis as a defensive captain.
Finally, on special teams, punter Brian Moorman and fullback Corey McIntyre have the honors. It seems like Moorman has been a Bills captain for years, while McIntyre takes over for Wilson on the special teams front.
Last year, two of Buffalo's six captains landed on Injured Reserve (Jackson and Williams). Here's hoping that the group has significantly better luck in 2012.
