Buffalo Bills Pre-Draft Visits 2013: Matt Scott Will Visit

One of the more interesting annual NFL Draft exercises we go through with the Buffalo Bills is keeping track of every prospect that's invited to One Bills Drive for a pre-draft visit. The reason we do so is simple: the Bills draft a lot of the players that they ask in for a visit. All three of Buddy Nix's first-round picks (C.J. Spiller, Marcell Dareus and Stephon Gilmore) made the trip. Last year, two more picks - Cordy Glenn and Tank Carder - visited team headquarters.

Thanks to draft reporter Tony Pauline, we have the first confirmed name of a Bills pre-draft visitor in 2013: Arizona quarterback Matt Scott, who replaced Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles with the Wildcats last season.

A buzzworthy, under-the-radar prospect whose name has gained steam of late, the 6'2", 213-pound Scott is a very good athlete that put up very good numbers (60.3 percent completions, 3,620 yards, 27 touchdowns, 14 interceptions) as a one-year starter under head coach Rich Rodriguez.

Last year, the Bills brought four quarterbacks in for pre-draft visits: Ryan Tannehill, Brock Osweiler, Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins. They drafted none of those players, much to the chagrin of Bills fans that saw Wilson play last season. It's quite possible that more than four quarterbacks could make the trip to Orchard Park this season; time will tell if they'll actually draft one this time around.
