The Atlanta Falcons host the San Francisco 49ers today at the Georgia Dome, and the winner will advance to Super Bowl XLVII in two weeks. This is your open thread for the first of two conference championship games today.
If you're interested in a Falcons fan perspective on today's game, be sure to stop by The Falcoholic, where our Falcons community will be hoping to see their favorite team in the big game for just the second time in franchise history, and for the first time in 14 years.
Or, perhaps, you're interested in a 49ers angle on the contest; if so, Niners Nation is the spot to be. 49ers fans are rooting for a sixth time (they're a perfect 5-0 in Super Bowl appearances), but for the first time in 18 years. (Think about that: our own Buffalo Bills haven't been back in 19 years, so Niners fans have been waiting nearly as long as we have. Then again, they've already got five freaking rings.)
Enjoy the game, folks! We'll have another thread up for the AFC championship game at 6:30.
