Andre Reed Q+A: Canton’s Missing Man | TDdaily.com
"The former All-Pro wide receiver talks about his Hall-of-Fame candidacy and the Bills new head coach."
Reed certainly doesn't ruffle any feathers in this interview. He takes the high road regarding the Hall of Fame and the Bills' hiring of Doug Marrone. His fondness for Buffalo also comes across. There's nothing revolutionary about what he says other than the fact that it's different than how he has postured in the past both for the Hall nod and the latest coaching search.
Bills coaching search revisited: Enough stones overturned? - Press Coverage | The Buffalo News
"But the marketing of the Bills' hiring process has been disingenuous. Anyone who actually believes the Bills left no stone unturned in their coaching search must be living under a rock."
Tim Graham's take on this is a good one. He doesn't mind the hiring of Marrone, but he also doesn't want the Bills and Russ Brandon touting it as a "leave no stone unturned" hire when they interviewed one of the other seven coaches to get a job and no assistants from any of the NFL's playoff teams. Brandon, Buddy Nix and the Bills' website have given contradictory stories on the order of the interviews, and went from secretive about the process to some sort of open rather quickly - but stumbled over themselves in doing so. Regardless of that media process following the hire, we have to wait and see if Marrone was a good choice.
