Bills vs. Bengals, NFL Week 6: second half open thread

The Buffalo Bills defense has been getting torched while the offense has three great drives. Is this bizarro world?

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Spor

The Buffalo Bills drove into scoring position on the first three of their first half drives but come away with just 10 points. The defense has given up a number of big plays and 284 yards while the Cincinnati Bengals lead the home team 17-10 as the teams enter halftime.

The Bengals have played off Buffalo's attacking defense with screen passes and misdirection. Two wide receiver screens have netter almost 100 yards through the air while a reverse gained 40+ yards on Cincy's first drive. Jim Leonhard responded with a red zone interception late in the first half to flip the field after an exquisite Brian Moorman punt went out of bounds inside the one-yard-line.

Thaddeus Lewis is playing like a man on fire. He has converted third downs with his legs and arm and two of his three incompletions were drops by his receivers. He has a rushing touchdown but was stopped on fourth-and-goal, ending another drive.

The Bills will get the ball to start the second half.
