Does the signing of Matt Flynn stunt the growth of Jeff Tuel? Do we even care about the answer to that question?

Did the Buffalo Bills mishandle Jeff Tuel? - ESPN

"But the Bills couldn't have written a better script on how to mishandle a "developing" prospect. Tuel now sinks, with his confidence jarred, to the back of a crowded quarterback landscape." I don't know if I could disagree more with Mike Rodak, or if I just don't care about the developmental quarterback's confidence at all.

Lewis likely to play Sunday; Backup QB up in air -
"We’re going to list him day-to-day because he was injured," said Marrone. "He didn’t really know exactly what play (it happened). He’ll be listed day-to-day and I think he’ll be out there (for practice) Wednesday and I feel good about him being able to play on Sunday."

"His status hasn’t changed and Jeff came in to see me," said Marrone. "I told him (his situation) hasn’t really changed. Here was our plan in the beginning, this is what we wanted to do. This is how we see you, a young quarterback that’s developing."

New Bills QB Matt Flynn: 'I always think I can get the job done' - Press Coverage - The Buffalo News
"It obviously hadn't turned out the way I wanted it to at any of the last two spots," Flynn said. "But just picking up different offenses and learning two different offenses the last two years I think has really expanded my knowledge of the game, expanded my knowledge of what people like to do."

Bills still fans of Jeff Tuel as development quarterback - Press Coverage - The Buffalo News
Marrone to Tuel: "Listen, here's what it is. Do I expect you to be happy with that? No, I don't want you to be. I want you to, 'Hey, I'm going to show you, and I'm going to work my butt off.' ... You don't have to agree with what your role is. You have to do it, but you don't have to agree with it. Then you're the one that can change it by getting better."

"I don’t know if I’m going back to safety yet," Williams said. "I feel like (Stephon) Gilmore is still trying to come back to his rhythm of playing. He told me yesterday was a little awkward for him, especially with a big club like that. It’s kind of hard for a cornerback to play with one arm."

Running back Fred Jackson, who was kept out of the end zone on three straight carries, pinned the failed scoring chance on himself. "That's something that I want to put squarely on my shoulders. I have to make something happen," he said. "As a running back with three opportunities to score on the goal line, you want to put that on yourself. I didn't get the job done, and that's something I need to be motivated about and make sure it doesn't happen again."

WGR 550 SportsRadio - Watching The Bills Grow
"Very early on during the post game show a caller asked us if we'd consider this a moral victory. I'm not much of a fan of that phrasing myself. What I do see are signs of progress. The Doug Marrone Bills seem to dig in where other editions would pack it in. Because of that, I want to say I see growth. It's not the kind of growth that gets you wins right now so there's nothing victorious about it. But it's still growth."
